Corporate
(On-Site) Services
One of the largest expenses for any business is having employees. There are many
costs involved including hiring, maintaining personnel files, training and benefit plans. Additional costs
may be incurred if an employee is absent due to illness or injury. Repetitive strain/stress
injuries and extreme physical and/or emotional stress may result in worker’s compensation claims. Companies
can significantly reduce these types of employee related expenses and realize a higher return on their investment by implementing
a workplace wellness program. Typically once a contact person has been established as liaison to the wellness
program director there is minimal company involvement. Three types of payment options are available.
Payment
options
1. Company pays full cost of wellness program.
2. Company splits costs
with employees.
3. Employees pay all costs out-of-pocket.
Basic
responsibilities of both parties
In general the company hiring a wellness program provider can anticipate providing space for the
service to be performed. Promotion on all levels including posters, informing new hires, internal video
messages and reoccurring email reminders are crucial to success for both parties.
The wellness program provider is responsible
for all equipment and supplies necessary to perform the service(s) designated . All provider representatives
should be properly trained, experienced, licensed and insured.
